So glad that you are attracted to the most lovely of all. The Lord Jesus Christ.
There are no words in the human language that can adequately express his loveliness. That’s another reason why we speak in other tongues. When we can’t find the words that fit, then we switch gears for just a little bit. Lol! We start out in our natural language with adoration and praise, then in other tongues our spirits will say, how much we love him. Well, thank you once again for coming to this site. It’s dedicated to help you excel in this life. Sometimes when I teach or preach or write, the Spirit Of God will testify, through verse and rhyme a song or ode, and he’ll unveil how one can flow. Flowing in the power of the Holy Spirit Of God, is an honor and privilege ‘‘tis so sweet, his laud.
Let’s continue our discussion on the being filled with the Holy Spirit.
As you continue in the word of God, you’ll come to understand, that only having natural knowledge is a limitation to man. The Spirit Of God has gifts. He has nine gifts that are to be distributed as he wills to those of God’s children that will desire them. Let’s look at the book of 1 Corinthians 12. But first, Let me recap a little. In the New Testament, first we have the four Gospels; written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These four writers wrote of the life and ministry of Jesus from their different perspectives. Then putting them together you have a whole picture. Then the next book is called the book of Acts. This books tells what the followers of Jesus accomplished by following the great commission. There were twelve disciples plus 120 more that heard Jesus say go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. Twelve of their names are recorded in the Gospels. One betrayed the Lord. He lost his place and position. Another replaced him and thus they started out. Then there was a dramatic conversation of one who had set out to destroy the followers of the Lord, but he had a unusual encounter with the Lord and set out to serve him. His name was Saul then it was changed to Paul. All this is found in the book of Acts. And in his journeys to fulfill the great commission, he brought the Gospel to several cities. He wrote letters to the churches he established. And most of the rest of the New Testament are his letters. You have Romans after the book of Acts; that he wrote to those Christians in Rome. Then you have 1 and 2nd Corinthians he wrote to the christians in the city of Corinth. I wanted to bring you up to date so that you could understand what the books or letters or “epistles” as they are called are. You will see other books or letters with the authors names on them. But I will stop there so that we can look at the gift of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:8-11
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
Wow! Isn’t that exciting! These gifts are to help you as your following the great commission. You will want to read through the book of Acts, and see what great help they were in publishing the Gospel. You see, in the Lord Jesus’ ministry, these gifts were in operation. And the people were drawn to him because of them. In your life, as you learn to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. He will use you in very similar ways. Listen to what Jesus said about the gifts.
John 14:12
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”
Did you realize that Jesus wanted you to pick up where he left off? That’s exactly right. The early church begun these works but we the church in our generation shall complete them. Through diligent study of the word, and praying in your heavenly language. The Holy Spirit will reveal to you how to enter into the depths of service, and you will pick up where others have left off. In his service
