The Gifts of Grace

12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 1 Cor. 12:1

Once we have listened to the Spirit of God, and have an understanding of what He has been sent here for, then instead of walking worriedly through darkened days, with no revelation, with no sensing of Grace, we will leap forward into the understanding of every situation that we are in, and maneuver through safely avoiding offense and sin

1 Cor. 12;4-11

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Amazing Songs

One of such melodies was written by Edwin S. Ufford in 1888

Throw out the lifeline across the dark wave;
There is a brother whom someone should save;
Somebody’s brother! Oh, who then will dare
To throw out the lifeline, his peril to share?

  • Refrain:
    Throw out the lifeline! Throw out the lifeline!
    Someone is drifting away;
    Throw out the lifeline! Throw out the lifeline!
    Someone is sinking today.
  1. Throw out the lifeline with hand quick and strong:
    Why do you tarry, why linger so long?
    See! he is sinking; oh, hasten today
    And out with the lifeboat! Away, then, away!
  2. Throw out the lifeline to danger-fraught men,
    Sinking in anguish where you’ve never been;
    Winds of temptation and billows of woe
    Will soon hurl them out where the dark waters flow.
  3. Soon will the season of rescue be o’er,
    Soon will they drift to eternity’s shore;
    Haste, then, my brother, no time for delay,
    But throw out the lifeline and save them today.
  4. This is the lifeline, oh, tempest-tossed men,
    Baffled by waves of temptation and sin;
    Wild winds of passion, your strength cannot brave,
    But Jesus is mighty, and Jesus can save.
  5. Jesus is able! To you who are driv’n
    Farther and farther from God and from Heav’n,
    Helpless and hopeless, o’erwhelmed by the wave,
    We throw out the lifeline—’tis, “Jesus can save.”
  6. This is the lifeline, oh, grasp it today!
    See, you are recklessly drifting away;
    Voices in warning, shout over the wave,
    Oh, grasp the strong lifeline, for Jesus can save.

Jesus Is Reaching for You

A Safe Passage

Before radar and sonar, and other devices that detect objects, in the waters, there were many maritime accidents that occurred. Early pioneers experienced many hardships, and difficulties as they set out on their journeys. They learned through trial-and-error hand through much loss from time to time, what lay beyond the scope of what they could see. Now much to our advantage, we have a compass, a radar, a guidepost so to speak. (It’s the Word of God!) We also have one who has gone on before us. His name is Jesus who is called Christ. A safe passage is available to all who call upon Him with their whole heart, and are willing to make His Word, their Word.

God was their Safe Passage of Old

Isaiah 43:1b,2

Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Jesus, God’s Son, Is Our Safe Passage In the New

John 10:7-10

7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Judgement ?

God desires that we judge ourselves. That’s right, keep everything in line with His GLORIOUS WORD. The scriptures say, if we would judge ourselves, we would not fall into the judgement of the world. One of the greatest sins is not discerning the Lord’s body. That refers to your brothers and sisters globally. Whether they be young, old, missing the mark or right on point. The power of God is bound up by divisions at the root cause. Here is our turning point, I say ours because I speak of the nations.

1 Cor.11: 27-34

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. 34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Just Another Ordinary Day

It’s just another ordinary day that God so desires to fill your world with His. He is so in love with you, He doesn’t think about to many other things. That great longing of the heart, to give you a brand-new start. To let you know just how special you really are. Is it possible that you will hear Him this time? Is it possible that you will be willing to Let His Son shine, in the midst of your heart? Softly and sweetly, Jesus is speaking, answer Him now, Will you?

John 3:1616 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

These Three Abide

Faith Hope & Love

 Many things come and go in our lives. The seasons, I just love to see the leaves of the trees change, don’t you? The ocean tides. Isn’t interesting to see certain portions of the beach during low tide just disappear during high tide. God’s creation is wonderfully interesting.

Even fashions and styles. Looks like I have lived long enough to see some fashions resurface that were gone for a few years. However, there are three things that will abide forever. Your Faith in God, the Hope that is sparked by the knowledge of His Goodness, and the ever-present fact that he is a Love God. He is always leading and guiding us so that as we grow, we recognize the love that is in our DNA through our New Birth Experience. That precious time when we made Jesus the Lord and Saviour of our lives. These three things set us to fare-well all the days of our lives. Keep your Faith Hope & Love top priority in your life and walk in the high places preprepared for you from before the foundations of the earth.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Cor, 13:13

Strength Will Come Expected It!

Staying Alert

Vigilant, aware, watchful, observant, attentive. You can’t walk in complacency spiritually, no, sharpen up your mind, will and emotions, by controlling them to the Word of God, allowing your actions to follow. Submit and Resist, two actions that must continue throughout the duration of your Christian race. A word for those who will be obedient. (Mercy and Grace have been connected to this style of life. Men and women have walked in it. You can be protected too.)

Deuteronomy 28:2

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
